Jamie deRoy & friends returns to Manhattan’s Birdland Jazz Club July 11 at 7 PM.
The evening of cabaret, theatre, music, and comedy—hosted and produced by deRoy—features actor and singer Ben Jones, classical-rock violinist Daisy Jopling, comic actor Robert Klein (They’re Playing Our Song), actor Jason Kravits (The Drowsy Chaperone), and singer-songwriter Julie Gold. (Opera star Harolyn Blackwell has withdrawn from the evening due to COVID-19.)
Barry Kleinbort directs the evening with musical direction by Ron Abel and Steve Doyle on bass. Proceeds benefit The Entertainment Community Fund’s Jamie deRoy & friends Cabaret Initiative, which assists those in the cabaret industry who have medical needs and concerns.
In addition to Tony Awards, deRoy has won eight MAC Awards, four Back Stage Bistro Awards, and 11 Telly Awards.
