NBA DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Oct 29, 2022 include Giannis Antetokounmpo

Stephen Curry is 34 years old now but instead of slowing down at all, the Warriors guard is playing like he’s in his prime. Through the first five games of the season, Curry is shooting 48.6% from the floor and 45.8% from the 3-point line while averaging 30.8 points, 6.0 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game. On Saturday, Curry and Golden State will take on a Hornets squad coming off an embarrassing loss to the Magic. Charlotte is allowing 116.4 points per game, giving NBA daily Fantasy players a premium matchup to exploit.

However, Curry is far from the only elite point guard in the NBA DFS player pool on Saturday night with Luka Doncic, James Harden, Kyrie Irving and Trae Young lacing them up. So which player has the best matchup, and who else should you be targeting for your NBA DFS lineups at every other position? Before making any NBA DFS picks for Saturday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS professional with over $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Friday, he highlighted Lakers forward LeBron James as one of his top NBA DFS picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: James scored 28 points with seven rebounds, five assists and four steals to return 51.25 points on DraftKings and 52.9 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to NBA action on Saturday and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Saturday, October 29

For Saturday, one of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks is Grizzlies guard Tyus Jones, who is listed at $4,700 on DraftKings and $4,500 on FanDuel. Despite having elite point guard options available, Jones presents a cheaper alternative in frontcourt stars like Joel Embiid and Kevin Durant and there’s plenty of value in that. Jones slides into the starting lineup at point guard on Saturday with Ja Morant battling a non-COVID illness.

The eighth-year veteran has already been playing a career-high 23.8 minutes per game so far this season and he should be in line for 30+ minutes against the Jazz. Jones is averaging 11.6 shot attempts per game and a career-best 11.6 points per game and he’s a proven distributor when he’s in the starting lineup, averaging 6.6 assists per game in 72 career starts. He’ll have to strike the right balance between his newfound confidence as a shooter and being an offense initiator but he presents clear value at less than $5,000 on both sites.

Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,800 on DraftKings and $11,800 on FanDuel). The two-time NBA MVP has averaged at least 27.7 points, 11.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists in each of the last four seasons and the six-time all-star is putting up career-best numbers in 2022-23 thus far.

Antetokounmpo is shooting a staggering 61.3% from the floor while averaging 34.5 points, 13.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.8 blocks per game and the Bucks are a perfect 4-0. He averaged 32.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game against the Hawks last season and should be in line for a big night in a critical early-season Eastern Conference matchup.
