Spinners gets OK from City Council

A new family entertainment center could be coming to Jackson soon. The Jackson City Council approved the Jackson Planning Board’s recommendation to grant a permit to allow Spinners to open on County Line Road in the building which once housed Academy Sports.Spinners is a game center that offers roller skating, bowling, laser tag and more. There is already a Spinners location in Florence.Councilman Kenneth Stokes said, as a grandparent and a Jacksonian, this could be good for the city.”Because grandparents, in most cases, take a lot of these kids to these arcades and other places,” Stokes said. “We slowly fall in love with these games, and it’s for mothers and fathers, too. When children are having fun, we are all having fun.”The council approved the recommendation unanimously.
